Indoor Cellular Coverage Enhancement
Modern public 5G networks provide an excellent quality of service outdoors. Unfortunately, most 5G services use mid-band spectrum and above, making it difficult to penetrate into buildings. Meanwhile, Wi-Fi technology indoors has improved rapidly, and provide high quality of service for Wi-Fi Calling and video teleconferencing, even when devices are in motion. The newest Wi-Fi networks use the same spectrum scheduling methods as LTE and 5G, and the newly released 6Gghz spectrum provides almost limitless capacity.
Quartz Wireless can bridge the gap between outdoor 5G networks and indoor Wi-Fi networks, using the credentials on the carriers' SIM cards to securely and automatically connect smartphones to Wi-Fi as they walk indoors, and seamlessly handing them back off to 5G as they leave.
